Why does Blizzard keep reducing the power of Dungeon XP

Why does Blizzard keep reducing the power of Dungeon XP? I was going to get home from work today to roll back a druid, but it seemed like an extremely difficult task to upgrade the entire toon from 1-70++, while also redoing the map and list exploration. Language. On top of that, they just nerfed the champion’s death again this morning. Do they really want us to have no fun?

I think the lack of monster density is a big deal in this game and is downright lousy, so in general I’m against any nerfs. I don’t know what was specifically patched during this time. But I can say that if they ONLY nerf the deaths of champions, it’s not unreasonable.

The problem with disappearing champions is that you can have a party of 3 go through all 3 dungeons at once while everyone gets the full exp and legos sent to them.

This is clearly unintended and exploitative, and will effectively incentivize solo party content for the intended 3x xp (well, technically it’s higher because of the experience bonus)

Now, if they start reducing the power of the dungeons all over, there’s really nothing to do in this game and no reliable way to level up.

Hopefully in the next patch we’ll see more dungeons getting elite rate improvements, so it’s not a one-way street. (Most importantly, I’d like to see them make dungeons worth completing. Increase loot and give huge experience rewards for completing dungeons)

It sounds like you’re not having a good time, but you can’t help but be. It seems unhealthy. Like a heroin addict. For me and many others, it’s a slow and good “grind”. Being able to blow up an entire screen full of enemies with the press of a button was the main criticism for the end of Diablo 3. The dense density of monsters also skewed the skill balance. . no large AoE automatically dumping garbage. The lower extreme density allows builds that focus on single-target damage not to fall behind as much, better for build diversity. Keep in mind that this problem was so bad in D3 that they had to invent the “AoE Damage” mechanic to make all those single skills/underused skills even from afar and accordingly, pixels are required to reach 100% in any build or team configuration.

Either way, it’s ridiculous. It’s pre-season. Test game mechanics, experiment with builds, find what works for you, and have fun playing. If you’re really having fun, keep playing and working as much as you want. But there’s no point in honing anything competitive in this game right now to the point where you just don’t enjoy it anymore and rush the developers to increase your dopamine at the expense of design. Reasonable gambling is wrong.
